in reply to: Homepage image in container
It looks OK now, but I had to make the container smaller than the image itself. If I made it the actual size, it stretched vertically on desktop and is cropped on mobile.

Not sure if this is related, but there is now extra spacing between the header and my headline on my interior pages (for example https://www.lindemancollective.com/work/). Can this be fixed?

in reply to: Homepage image in containerI ended up making the container smaller than the image itself and it looks better, but if I found that if I made the container the exact same size (1100×452) that’s when it stretches on the desktop and crops on mobile.
in reply to: Portfolio Image QualityI don’t see much of a difference—if at all. These images should be crystal clear. They are built to size, 72 dpi, PNGs. I have tried saving them in higher resolutions and different formats and the only thing that helps is saving them as SVGs but those seem to slow down the site and will not work for non vector images. Something is compressing the images in these galleries that isn’t happening other places.
This has to be fixed, I have been dealing with this long enough. Having nice work samples to look at is one of the most important aspects of my site and with Tower being promoted as a portfolio theme, I expect this to be right.
in reply to: Portfolio Image QualityI pasted it in my “Additional CSS” box but nothing changed.
in reply to: Portfolio Image QualityI think the only thing that changed was the password and I updated that. Let me know if you need anything else.
Here’s the main portfolio page (everything looks fine here)
But when you click on a thumbnail the larger graphics (PNGs) look slightly blurry:
However SVGs seem to look good, here’s one I uploaded as a test. https://www.lindemancollective.com/codeless_portfolio/holiday-card/
That said, I’m not sure SVGs are a good solution.
in reply to: Portfolio Image QualityOK, so I experimented with importing an SVG image for the first entry in my portfolio and it looks great, but I am not sure if that is a good solution or not or if it can tell you what is going on with my PNGs because they are the exact same files just saved differently.
in reply to: Portfolio Image QualityI still notice that the images within my portfolio look slightly fuzzy. (The thumbnails look great). They are all high-quality and built-to-size pngs. The only thing I can think of is that since they are large they are getting compressed in some way, but since they are PNGs it doesn’t make sense. Just take a look at the thumbnail for the first entry into my portfolio and compare that with the image once you click on it.
Ruco, seemed to figure it out in the past, maybe he could take a look.
Thanks!

in reply to: Client ElementI just changed it from false to true.
in reply to: Client ElementI pasted that code in, but nothing seemed to change. Did I do something wrong?
in reply to: Problems with testimonial carouselPerfect, thank you!
in reply to: Problems with testimonial carouselAfter further review, it looks like it is mainly just not displaying some of the people’s names/titles while shorter testimonials display fine.
in reply to: Problems with testimonial carouselI tried inserting the code in the “Additional CSS” area in the customizer, but nothing happened. Also, I never got my question resolved involving increasing the size of the type within the testimonials.
I may consider renewing my support, but this seems to be an issue with the theme, not mere customization on my end.
Thank you.
in reply to: Problems with testimonial carouselI was looking at moving my testimonials, but once again they all get cut off, is there a way to enlarge the container?
in reply to: News Feed/Client ElementsIt looks like by doing that it will just be a link to a page. What I am hoping to get is something that says “Recent News” with a news headline below it and a short blurb. Is that possible?
in reply to: Problems with testimonial carouselI’m not really wanting to customize anything. The type is just a little hard to read and I want to make it just a bit bigger.
