I replaced it outside the content into a different row. Please refresh the page now.

Hello,

This is happening because you have already used the shortcodes of the Visual Composer. So the moment you deactivate it, the VC shortcodes will remain as simple text.
To completely remove the WP Bakery plugin, you need to first remove all the Visual Composer elements used in the site.

No need for that! You can keep on working on your site just like before. I added the top margin to the first row in home page, to make it like the demo (screenshot: https://postimg.org/image/rwye88grp/), But this css in the Additional css was stopping the option to take effect, so i commented it out:
```
/*.cl-row {
    margin-top: -45px !important;
}*/
```

Hello,

This is the home slider. To change it’s images go to Codeless slider slide settings. Click on the slide number you want to change the image of. Then click on the row settings of that slide. After row options are unfolded in the left sidebar, go to Design > BACKGROUND IMAGE and change the background image here. See screenshots:

If you did not add this, then please make sure your site is not infected with any virus.
I suggest you open the file from ftp, using another program such as Sublime text. To rule out any possible error.

This is an older version of Specular theme. I just checked this on the latest version and the white space is not present. Please make sure to have the latest theme version installed. Done. You have two parent theme folders. Just make sure to keep renamed or delete the older version so there won’t be any issues.
