This happens because you have set the background in gray color. The line is there, but it’s in very light gray and the background of the content is darker than it. See screenshot.
To keep your current style settings and make the line visible, please add this code into your custom css box:
What theme version are you running? What Visual Composer version? Please make sure to have the latest version first. Then deactivate all third party plugins. Let us know if the issue persists after this.

In the code i gave you for the footer, you need to increase the width enough to include the new item.
I increased it already to 430px. Please check your site, the footer is in one line.
Sorry but it’s not possible reversing back a template that’s been deleted. You can restore a previous version of your site with wordpress restore option (screenshot). But this will take the hole site in the status of that time. All changes made after that, will be lost.
To use the defaut demo pages, you have to import them first. Please know that importing another demo will overwrite your current settings.
What template do you want to use from default site?
