HTML is usually used from people who have a basic knowledge of it and will use it properly. The function is used widely in theme so we can not just strip the html code from it. Can you please send a link of the site where are you trying this?
So i can better understand your point.
This happens because you have set dynamic links in your menu item.
That means, if you set the menu item link to point to a section of the page, you have to be in that page for the generated url to be correct. To fix this change the links in your menu from this structure: #menu-id
to this: https://yoursite.com/#menu-id
Did you install the plugin first? You should have a message in your wordpress dashboard asking you to install required plugins. See screenshot. Did you install them?

First you need to know that this is happening because you have added a lot of menu items. The width of menu now exceeds the width assigned to it inside the header and this leads to the menu being dropped down in order to find more space. Even if you had a normal menu in desktop it would have dropped down in computers with smaller screen resolution.
All you have to do now is go to General Options > Header Options > Menu Options > Menu Items Margin, decrease the values until the menu is set properly inside header area again.
I already changed it from 13px to 7px. Please check your site, it is showing ok now (screenshot).
2-The sticky header: I see you have set up the sticky header background to be brown-transparent. In order for it not to keep that background when is set in normal state, i went to your home page’s General Settings > Page Options & Style > Header Color Style for Header, and set it to “Auto check“.
Do this for every other page you want it.
I see you have changed the header style to “modern”, just like the demo. I removed the extra navigation from it (screenshot) and now it is the same as the online demo. The only difference is that you have chosen a dark background for your slider, while the online example is white.
