Strange that POLYLANG does not support, it’s better than WPML.
Maybe it’s good point to add support for POLYLANG for future update for this theme?
We had many content in few languages already made by POLYLANG, so go to WPML does not good way. So unfortunately we need to ask third part developer to help us with your theme.
Can those strings be translated by “Polylang” plugin?

I actually have a multilingual site. Is there a way to have different translations for the different languages of my site (Dutch and Russian for example)? Can it be added? This would be great.
