in reply to: Cannot Add Widgets to Sidebars
I’ve updated the plugin and the problem is still there unfortunately. I just noticed that all the widgets that I have been trying to add to the various sidebars are being automatically moved to the Inactive widgets area in the bottom left of the Widgets page.
Since updating Specular I have the following problems:
1. I have lost my green header colour. In Header Options – Header Background I have the colour specified as #66ae24 but it does not show on the live site.
2. The social widgets are not displaying in the Top Header Right
3. The Completed Websites carousel (clients) on the home page no longer works and displays incorrectly.
4. A grey box has appeared on the home page and is covering some of the text. I cannot get rid of this.
5. The Codeless Slider no longer works.Hope you can help with the above.
in reply to: Cannot Add Widgets to SidebarsAs I mentioned earlier it is possible to add widgets in some cases but not the important ones. Try adding the navigation menu widget to the sidebar called ‘About – ADG’ or to ‘Testimonials – ADG’. I’ve tried many times to add this widget and it vanishes every time I move away from the widgets page. If I refresh the page it vanishes.

in reply to: Services Circle Icon – how to add more iconsTo add new service icons to the available selection do I follow exactly the same process as the related topic link above that you referred me to? This link seems to refer to fonts and doesn’t seem to make much sense. What size icons do I need? I can see some icons I would like to add at icomoon.io. Just need to know what size and how to add them to the theme selection.
in reply to: Slow down Testimonials CycleThanks for the suggestion but I’m using the Testimonial ‘Cycle’ and not ‘Carousel’ version. For The ‘Cycle’ version I can’t see any way of adjusting the duration.
in reply to: Specular PHP 7.2 Website DownI think the problem is solved! From the above, it’s the revslider plugin that was causing the problem and when I checked, I saw today there was an update available for the revslider (it only appeared today!) which I have just applied. I’ve upgraded back to PHP v7.2 and so far it is still working. I’ll close the ticket for now. If the problem comes back I’ll raise a new ticket.
Many thanks.

in reply to: Specular PHP 7.2 Website DownOk. The only way I can obtain any sort of error log would be to turn on PHP error mesages with my host and upgrade the PHP back to v7.2 which will result in a blank white screen when you try and view the website. I have just made these changes just so I can see the error message and will forward this to you asap. I’ll have to revert the site back to v5.6 to get the website back up before the morning so customers can see the site again.
in reply to: Specular PHP 7.2 Website DownWhen we had the issue there was no error message unfortunately, just a blank page both for the live website and for the WordPress admin side. When I removed the plugins via PHP Admin the problem was still there.
We were only able to get the site working again by reverting back to PHP v5.6 which we can only do for a short time (1 week I think, before our hosting company forces PHP v7.2).
