Dont know if it will help, but I use Specular for a few of my client sites and once I updated WordPress (but not Specular…yet…when I update my Specular themes it tends to knock out a ton of settings and I havent figured out a good way to update that smoothly yet) but here is a plugin i used to help get my sites back up and running:
I will double check a little later but as I said, I wrote some css to address the issue but its not ideal. When I set the default page header settings in the Specular settings, they did not work on all the pages. It defaulted to a light gray background with dark text. I had to go into each page and override the settings which would take a long time.
