Why does it work properly in customizer? I dont want to have to resize images, I want it to work how it does in customizer. This is an obvious bug and I am asking you to fix it. “Upload a different sized image” is not a fix. Thank you.
in reply to: Error MessageHi All is working now, thank you! Another problem I am having. You will need the credentials in this thread to log into my site. But you will see here:
https://fnvfireworks.com/redesign/products/
The product thumbnail for “bent rail” is not cropping correctly. The funny part is, if you log into the site, and go to the same page, and then click the customizer, it magically crops the image correctly. I think I have the settings correct to crop all of the images into a square. Am I doing something wrong here? This seems like a bug.
Please let me know

For 1,2, and 3, thank you! I actually decided to remove everything except the logo, and I was able to find the options to size the logo properly for mobile.
For 4, also, thank you!
For 5, I was just letting you know. That option worked on the home page but didnt work on the shop page. I fixed it with css already.
For 6, I had removed the cart icon, but the product pages still have the option to “Add to cart”. The standard woocommerce catalog mode removes all references to the cart, purchasing, etc. If I need a separate plugin to achieve this, that is fine. Just let me know if that is the case.
New Question:
I am having all kinds of problems with the slider. If I place a revolution slider into the page, it puts padding and margins onto it that I cannot remove. The codeless slider looks how I want it to look, but I cannot for the life of me change the background image or add slides. I have tried all of the options in the customizer and nothing seems to work.
I would much rather use the revolution slider as I am familiar with it and have used it many times in the past. Is there any way to remove the padding and margins? I have tried placing the shortcode directly into the classic mode of the WP editor (similar to the way the codeless slider is there) and it works temporarily, but after a couple of saves it wraps it in a text element and row automatically and reapplies the margins and padding.
Can you help?
in reply to: Cannot install theme demo on shared hostingAlso, I want this site to be a catalog site. However, when I set the option “catalog mode” in the customizer, the add to cart functionality is still enabled. Am I missing something?
in reply to: Cannot install theme demo on shared hostingAlso, where is my navigation? The menu that is displaying is not available to edit, and if I change the active menu nothing happens.
Also, the option to place a background color on page content doesnt work, I had to add custom css to not have my background image (intended for the sides) to be displayed in the content.
in reply to: Cannot install theme demo on shared hostingHello and thank you! I have gotten started and the majority of things have been easy to find. Obviously I need to create pages and other things, but three brief questions:
https://fnvfireworks.com/redesign/
First, where can I choose which social icons are displayed in the header and where do I place the links?
Second, I moved the search box to the right side as this is to be a catalog site, how can I have it default to be open so it keeps the logo centered?
Third, How can I set the site to hide the social icons and search bar and have the logo larger on mobile?
Thanks
in reply to: Cannot install theme demo on shared hostingI installed the theme and installed all necessary plugins. Sorry about that. Let me know if you are able to get it imported.
If not, can you recommend any shared hosting that meets your requirements? I don’t want to have to tell my client that they need a VPS at quadruple their current hosting cost to run their new website.
Thanks

I am still unable to install, I get a 500 server error when I try it that way. Some of the posts and pages come over, but no images, settings, options, nothing like that.
I am pretty disappointed here that there was no warning that I needed a VPS to run this theme. Literally no shared web hosts will permit max_execution_time to be as high as you need it to be. Even specific WordPress and Woocommerce plans don’t permit those kind of limits.
Every time I try I have to delete wordpress and reinstall for a clean version because I don’t know what is coming over and what isnt and I am extremely frustrated.
I will run a completely clean WP install and reply with the credentials, perhaps you can install the demo content for me? Maybe I am missing something?
