in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemHello,
I just noticed the Reservation page is in the theme. I just had to display it in the child theme.
All is well. Thanks

in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemHello,
You have the credentials for both the WP and the FTP. I should not have to do the legwork of installing this page (and further charging my client for time spent). Your presentation of the Picante theme includes it. One of the reasons (among others) that my client decided on making the purchase specifically was because of the reservation page.
Please deliver the purchased product exactly as you presented it.
Thank you.

in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemJust tested the child theme. It works. Looks like I just have to reactivate the plugins each time.
Thanks!
Still one more thing – where is the “Reservation” page? It’s missing.
Your theme has it here:

in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemThanks, Ruco.
Does this mean I have to activate the plugins everytime I switch themes and switch back?
I will test it again now. Hopefully, I needn’t return to the forum for your help, each time.

in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemThank you, Mahalia!
Everything appears to be fixed and working!
Best regards!
Edit: Oops! Spoke to soon.
I wanted to use the child theme to avoid future upgrade conflicts, so I activated it and the web page looked like this
https://www.pho-xe-lua.com/dev/Screenshot%20from%202018-11-12%2013-11-04.png
So I reactivated the main theme again, and now there is just a blank white page.
I’m glad we are ironing all this out now before I start to work on something that isn’t kosher.
p.s. My wp credentials is the same as as the FTP’s
in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemHello,
The error “Warning: Illegal string offset…” below disappeared.
But all the other problems remain. I’d like to be able to use the default homepage as advertised. The links to the restaurant menu do not work. The visual editor is displaying codes in it….
When we purchase an item – car, refrigerator, other things – we don’t come home with a broken thing and spend hours figuring/discovering all that is wrong with it. It is unfair to my client that I am charging them time to deal with this problem.
I could have had something up already for them, if I built it myself with available widgets and plugins….
Please enter the Site’s WordPress administration (username/password is the same) and check all the errors yourself and correct them, otherwise it is like I am doing the job for your company for free.
Thanks.

in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemHello,
Sorry. There was a mistake in the entry. You should be able to get in now. I just tested it with filezilla.
Thanks! Cheers!
in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemAlso, whatever you fix, can you also do it in the child theme, as we will be using the latter to avoid problems when installing updates?
Thank you.
P.S. it’s PHP 7.2

in reply to: Picante theme default homepage problemHello,
I entered the FTP URL for both the File Manager and WordPress Administration (user and password identical for both) as there appears to be other problems. You’ve access to both.
The visual editor and links don’t work. See images:

Could you please fix EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that is broken ?
I’d like to be fair to my client – and not be charging them all this time spent discovering all these problems, plus time spent with you.
Thank you.
