I have done a full update of specular and wordpress and I still am having the same issues with the sliders (Layer and Revolution)

I am using the blog/timeline layout.

Or perhaps leave the click through functionality but set it to display a result page for the authors posts

We removed the boxed layout so the menu issue is no longer a problem, but the permalinks are a major issue.  Please advise.
