but it happen on pages on which there are no images.

Ok for optimization but in my opinion the other pages …. should go quickly. If I change the theme and switch to Twenty Twenty and browse the page:

start immediately.

But with Folie theme 370,1 KB >>>> 18,46s (onload: 18,52s)
Twenty-Twenty 370,1 KB >>>> 1,2s (onload: 1,29s)

So I don’t think it’s an image optimization problem
