in reply to: Responsive header menu not spacing correctly
Mirela –
This has started happening again, with the most recent update. I’ve double checked, and the code you gave me (above) that worked before is still in my CSS and hasn’t been modified. Is there something that needs to be adjusted in that code so that it continues to work?
I’m seeing the issue on a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 (in landscape mode)
Thanks!
in reply to: Responsive Menu – cut off/not workingRuco – No, I’ve never used a different menu plugin. Before the update a few months ago, the mobile menu worked perfectly – so there is definitely something that changed on the Tower theme end that is causing an issue.
In the regular/PC top navigation menu, the subcategories do not show until you scroll over or click on them. It is only the mobile/hamburger menu that is showing all the subcategories automatically.
in reply to: Responsive Menu – cut off/not workingRuco – thank you! The menu now shows when you click the hamburger, it’s the correct menu, and it’s no longer “stuck” so customers can see the entire menu.
However – because I’ve got so many subcategories, the menu is really long and doesn’t show in entirety on a mobile phone. Is there any way to change it back so that the subcategories/nested categories don’t show until you click on the main category? I’m not sure if this is a setting that got accidentally changed somewhere, but it didin’t use to show this way in responsive.
Thanks again,
Rebecca

Unfortunately, I have not been able to figure it out. I do not have any third party plugins for the menu. Codeless did help me customize the mobile menu somewhat two years ago when I first set up the website (I provided the link to that conversation in my original question).
I’m not sure why you weren’t able to access the other staging site, but you do have access to the current one (where it isn’t working) – that information is in my profile.
This is our very busy/high traffic season for our customers, so it is essential that we get this figured out ASAP – our customers currently cannot access our full website menu. Any help you can give me would be very greatly appreciated.

in reply to: Responsive Menu – cut off/not workingThis reply has been marked as private.in reply to: Responsive Menu – cut off/not workingHello! I created a staging site and updated to the newest version of Tower (2.8.3) and the issue was resolved – I was able to use the workaround. However, when I then went back to my real website and updated, it didn’t work. I’m now not getting any menu dropdown from the mobile hamburger, regardless of which style I use. When I click on the hamburger, nothing happens.
I am baffled, because the staging site was an exact copy of my current site, so I don’t understand why it would work there, and not on the real site. I’ve tried this on several devices with different browsers, so I don’t believe it’s a device issue.
I will create a second staging site of my current site with the issue, and send those in a private reply – perhaps then you can compare that one to the other staging site, and figure out where the bug is. In the meantime, I once again have to roll back to a backup; I can’t have a website where mobile users have no access to a menu.

I just installed the most recent version of the theme and followed the instructions above, and the issue is no longer occurring. Thanks!
in reply to: Tower theme update- all hyperlinks brokenAll of my plugins were updated, yes. I did that before I updated the theme. I updated Visual Composer separately (by deleting it entirely and re-adding it). According to my dashboard, all of my plugins were up to date when I was experiencing the issue.
in reply to: Responsive Menu IncorrectMihala – Thanks for all of your help with this in the past. I’m now able to go through the steps to fix it using your suggestions above. However, this seems to be happening with every new theme update. Is there any code I can add to my child theme to keep the responsive menu correct, or is it just something I’m going to have to add to my “to do” list with theme updates? Thanks!
in reply to: Responsive Menu IncorrectMihala –
In my notes, I found mention of a conversation we had about this back in 2016 in this thread: https://support.codeless.co/?topic=dropdown-customize-search-results-and-static-google-map. I can’t find any other notes about how we got the responsive site to have a different menu, but up until recently, the menu has been unique.
If nothing else, I need the menu to be the regular menu for the site – right now it just offers “Home” , “Home”, “Shop”. I tried to see if I could resolve this myself using the information you gave last time, but I can no longer find the option for a “responsive menu style” in Tower or WordPress. Below is a summary of my question and your responses.
****
Question #6: I’ve got my responsive menu style (Tower>Header Options) set to the “side menu” style. However, the menu items showing on this menu (“Home”, “Template Default”, “Agency WordPress” and “Theme”) are not the menu items for my site. When I select the “standard” side menu style, the correct menu shows.
I can’t figure out how to change this responsive menu. I’ve looked under Tower>Header Options> Menu Options) as well as Appearance>Menus, Appearance>Headers and Appearance>Widgets. Where do I set this?
Mihala: 6-This is strange. I checked it on our side and it does not happen. Please send us your ftp credentials in a private reply. We need to check the menu files.
Rebecca: When I select the “standard” side menu style, the correct menu shows. In the screenshots I sent you privately, you can see what I mean.
Mihala: I fixed it. The “Right menu” is showing up in mobile now. Since the current menu is different from the normal menu (it is composed by two different menus), the side menu in mobile called the main menu, which was undefined. So i switched back to simple menu, assign the “Right menu” to it, then switched back to left-right menu style.
Please check your site and let us know.
Rebecca: Thank you! I changed the menu items to be what I want, so it all works great now.
in reply to: How to check for Theme UpdatesExcellent – thank you for the information!
in reply to: Cart Page:- "cart update" bugHello – yes, this issue was resolved with the them update. Thank you!
in reply to: Cart Page:- "cart update" bugThank you – when did the latest version come out? For some reason I never got an email (I always have in the past.)
I have a child theme set up and make my changes to that, so I shouldn’t have any issues with upgrading to this theme, correct? Regardless, I will be sure to make a backup before installing.
Hopefully the issue resolves with the update – I will let you know.

in reply to: Cart Layout – Float RightThank you! I played around with it a bit and ended up reducing it to 5% to reach what I wanted. Thank you for the custom CSS!
