change image size display in single blog post

      My client’s blog has only one image per page, therefore I only use the featured image.

      In the single article page I do NOT want the image to be cut, but to be displayed in its full size (with max-width 100% and height auto), so that if she posts a vertical image, it will show completely (she adds text to the images).
      However, images are cut and I do not seem to be able to change this.

      It did not use to be like that: the first post we did when we started working o the website is OK: https://www.giuliaferrari.com/il-successo-attraverso-la-copertina-del-libro-e-labito-del-monaco/

      [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="216"]correct image size correct image size[/caption]

      Now, however, images are being cut:

      [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="230"]wrong image size Image being cut[/caption]

      Can you tell me where I can change the way featured images are displayed in single post pages? I have looked at the documentation but they do not seem to apply.

      Thank you! :)

      Hello,

      I do not see any cut out image in your blog page, or posts. However, you can edit/change the images sizes in file function.php. Read this article for more information.

      Best regards!

      Thank you Mihaila,

      however, the second image I linked is certainly cut. It is a vertical photo, and the text is cut. See here

      [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="489"]cut image cut image[/caption]

      this is the original image:

      [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="489"]original image original image[/caption]

      One question: in the loop-index.php (/wp-content/themes/specular/includes/view/blog) in line 135 there is this code to place the image in the “div class=media” section of the post:

      <?php if(!is_single() || (is_single() && $cl_redata[‘use_featured_image_as_photo’]) ): ?>
             <img src="<?php echo esc_url(codeless_image_by_id(get_post_thumbnail_id(), ‘blog’, ‘url’)) ? />”
      <?php endif; ?>

      Does that determine which image will be placed there?
      Or weather it will insert the original image or the reduced version of the image?
