BG in Menu item with BG

  Hello, i am trying to configure the background color for each li item on the nav menu, I’ve selected “Make transparency Header” ON and the background is selected to red, but the background on the li items on hover continues white despite any change i do.
  
  How can i configure properly so the li items turn to red when i hover on them? and on the current one.. thanks in advance.
