FAQ Accordion help (Tower theme)

      Hi!

      I’m absolutely loving the Tower theme – thank you so much for such a robust, easy-to-use theme!

      I am having a little difficulty with the FAQ accordion, though.

      I was able to edit the PHP so that all FAQ items are closed upon initial page load, which is great. However, when you click on one of the questions,  the entire page moves up, often moving the text answer to the question under the navigation bar, so you have to scroll up to actually read the copy. (link to page will follow)

      I’d really prefer that when I click on the question, the answer accordions downward, leaving the top part of the site intact.

      Can you help me with this?

      Thanks!

      Hello,

      Sorry for the late reply.
      I see the faqs are opening well in your site. Did you manage to fix it? Sorry but support does not cover custom edits.
      Let us know if we can help you with anything else.

      Best regards!

      No – this has not been fixed. And I don’t believe this is a custom edit – I believe this is an issue with the way the FAQ code is working.

      When I open an FAQ link, the header and text all move up. It shouldn’t. The header should stay static, and the FAQ answer text should open down. To my knowledge, that’s how accordion-style functions are supposed to work. It doesn’t make sense for the text to move up underneath the header, causing the user to scroll up to see the answer to the question they just clicked.

      This is a functionality issue, and major usability concern, so I’d really appreciate your help.

      I don’t understand how this could be a custom edit, as on our end, it looks like it’s not working properly.

      I need help with this too! My FAQ page looks like I want it to, but when you expand one of the questions to see the answer, the page auto-scrolls down too far. How do you fix this?

      My page: https://mariposa.svsimagery.com/faq

      * This is only really an issue for items in the top half of the page.

      Hello,

      Sorry for the late reply.
      Please go to file js/main.js and find these lines:

      function codelessOnePageContent(){
      	"use strict";
      	$('.composer_content').onePageNav({
      	    currentClass: 'current-menu-item',
      	    changeHash: false,
      	    scrollSpeed: 750,
      	    scrollThreshold: 0.5,
      	});
      }

      Comment them out and save file. Let us know.

      Best regards!

      I cannot find that code anywhere in that file. I went to tower/js/main.js, did a search for the code, and it doesn’t show up at all.

      Can you please let me know how to fix my issue, with the FAQ accordion scrolling UP into the header, rather than down?

      Thank you!

      Hello,

      The code should be there (around line 1881), unless some editing has been done before (screenshot). I can do it for you, but please check the ftp credentials as i am not able to login.
      Let us know.

      Best regards!
