Hello,
I wanted to add individual links to different pages to each image on our media grid, I’ve found this post – https://support.codeless.co/forums/topic/hyperlink-for-media/ but I’m not sure if it also goes for the Tower Theme and when you say “2- Go to file specular\vc_templates\media.php and replace all with this code: https://www.codeshare.io/Z0W0P Save file!”, replace it with what specifically? The same code from step one?
Thank you so much.

Hello,
No, that means that you should replace the code currently in file vc_templates/media.php with the one in the codeshare link(all of it). However, not only this is a different theme, but also the code in the link, belongs to an old version of Visual Composer. It is not in use any more.
Please send us your wp credentials in a private reply. We can do it for you.Best regards!

Hello,
Can you please check the credentials? I can’t login with these. If you want to do the edits yourself, then follow these instructions:
1-go to file includes/core/codeless_elements.php and find this block of code:
https://codeshare.io/9g9PD
and replace with this:
https://codeshare.io/o6VwW2-go to file vc_templates/media.php and replace the files’s code with this:
https://codeshare.io/f7uWN
Save both files. Recreate the media element. You will find the link option added to it’s settings.Best regards!

Hello,
You have two copies of the same Tower theme, with the same version number. And are using a child theme. Most probably the child theme is calling the other theme’s options (where you did not made any changes). Please remove the second theme folder. leave just the one with the changes and try again. You should be able to see the link option in media element.
Let us know.Best regards!

Hello,
Well thank you for the help and honesty anyway. It’s a shame that it can’t be done – it definitely could be a cool feature.
Do you know of any other elements or another way that I can mimic the Media Grid look but still link each image to individual pages?
Thank you

Hello,
A workaround of this is to use the Media element. Since we have already edited it to accept external links.
Add a new row, set it up with 3 (as much as you want) columns. In each column add a media element. Create as many rows as you want. In the end you will have a grid of images.Best regards!

Hello,
Thank you for the idea. I’ve tried that and it looks good, but the gap between the media elements are too big, as you can see in the image below. Is there a way to make those gaps smaller? At least 5px gap between them.
Thank you.

Hello,
I’ve played around with margins/paddings and managed to fix it.
Thank you!!

Hello,
Since this was a added by preference feature and not by default, the edits are not present in default theme files. And by taking a theme update, it has overwritten all custom changes.
Every time you make such edits, it is wise to keep a copy of the edited files.
I already described the steps to follow. Please read my reply of a month and 3 days ago. The codeless_elements.php file is still in the same folder (includes/core/codeless_elements.php)Best regards!
