Is it ppossible to insert an icon in menu? my client asks a login icon link, something like the search icon

You can add an additional button in header, like search, in General Options > Header Options > Add button to header.

Yes I always tried to add a button, but it appears too big and how could I place an icon in place of that button?

You can change it by editing directly at header.php file. Find this block of code:

Or just edit it throw css. Add the custom css in your custom css box. Sorry but styling customizations are not included in support service.
