I can see from my browser’s Inspector that it is Revolution Slider 4.6.0.
More specifically, my question is that since the dummy data doesn’t include the Revolution Slider example material (perhaps this is part of what doesn’t import because the import always freezes at 65%?), how can I find instructions or an example on how to replicate the techniques used in the SEO & Marketing demo?

When you import with attachments but your host does not have enough of needed configurations (like memory, execution time limit..etc) the process can be slowed down to the point it looks like it stopped. But the attachment, do not include sliders! Only images. So it has nothing to do with your query.
You can find the slider demos in the main downloadable folder. Inside the Tower folder, you have three other folders, “Documentation, Licence, slider-demo”. In the “slider demo” you can find the sliders demo data. Just go to your revolution slider in menu and select the “import slider” option. Import then one at a time all available sliders. Use the one you want.
