Having trouble editing left side header

  Hello– I have been trying to customize the left side header. The menu part has been no problem, but I’d like to edit what falls below– there is currently some “About Text” and Recent posts showing up. I’d like to add social buttons, as there are in the demo and update the about section. Thank you!

  Those are widgets. Please go to Appearance > Widgets, look at section “Header Widgetized Area”. Add/remove widgets from it.

  I have added a text widget to the “Header Widgetized Area”, however I cannot find where to change the text colour, size etc?

  You should use css to make these changes. Add the custom code into your General Options > Custom Css Box.
