Just installed WordPress 4.1 and eventually managed to get your theme installed by adding the files manually via FTP as it would not install the normal way through WordPress Admin.
Now the recommended plugins will not install. When I try I get a connection error. I know the connection information is correct because it is the same as my normal FTP connection details.
Any news please? I’m trying to get a new site up and running but can’t do it without your required plugins. I’m guessing the reason is probably a simple one so hopefully won’t take you long to resolve this one.
I’ve just checked with my hosting company and the FTP details I’m using are correct so it should work. Would it be possible for you to send me the files for these two required plugins so that I can FTP them myself using my standalone FTP client?
Please can you write your site credentials in a private reply so I can check the issue?
You can find the plugins at wp-content/themes/specular/plugins/. Unzip them and move to wp-content/plugins. The activate them at WP dashboard -> Plugins.
I was able to successfully install and activate WPBakery Visual Composer plugin and the two main sliders. You can continue with other installations, by following the onscreen instructions. (screenshot) However you can go on customizing the theme, without problems.
