I installed the Tower theme. WP Bakery Visual Composer plug-in is required, but when I try to install it, it says “Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.”
Also, when I installed the dummy data, most of it appears as code written across the page. Does this have to do with the installation of Visual Composer? The stylesheets are installed and uploaded so that doesn’t seem to be the problem.

Hello,
Please make sure you have installed theme properly.
The most common error made is to upload the zip file you download from your Envato account directly into your Appearance > Themes. You should unzip it first. Inside you will find these folders: Documentation, Licence, slider-demo-data, tower. Then zip only the ‘tower’ folder and upload it into your Appearance > Themes, in wordpress dashboard.
Do not zip the ‘tower’, if you will upload it directly in the server. If this is not the issue, then please make sure you are not trying to install included plugins (and demo data) from child theme. You have to have active the parent theme while performing these. Otherwise a “wrong url” error will arise.
If you still have problems, then please fill in the necessary information on your extra information fields of your profile data. So we can give it a closer look.

Switching to the parent theme did the trick!
However, when I installed the dummy data, it looks funny on my screen. There are multiple of the same menu option although I deleted the entire menu in the Appearance panel. I can’t figure out how to get rid of them or how to access the pages in order to edit them in the back end. There are so many pages on my front end but I don’t have all those options in my back end.

Hello,
Please go to Appearance > Menus and create a new menu. Add all pages you want, then assign it as the site’s main menu.
Can you please be more clear? What options are you not able to find? What demo did you import?
If you fill in the necessary information on your extra information fields of your profile data, we can help you sort this out.Read this article for more information.

Thank you for your support.
When I switch back to my child theme, the dummy data that I imported in the parent theme is no longer there. Also, most of the images didn’t import in the dummy data-is there a way to fix that?

Hello,
If you did not check the “Import With attachments” option before making the import, then the images are not loaded. However this is not really a problem as the images are for demonstration purpose only and you have to upload your own images.
If you must use the demo images, then just download them directly from the online demo and import in your media. This is strange. Switching to child theme does not affect the already imported posts and pages. I see you site is in coming soon mode. Can you please provide some valid wp credentials? So we can give it a closer look.

Thank you.
I took off the coming soon mode as well as provided my credentials on my profile.

Hello,
I’m guessing you did not check the “Import with attachments” option before importing dummy data. As i previously said, this is not a big issue. You can always download the images from the online demo directly and upload them to your site.
I switched to child theme and no content was removed. You did not assign a home page and blog in General Options > Select Special Pages, that is why the site was showing blank. I set them up for you.
Please continue with further customizing the site to your wish.Best regards!

I have another problem with my jsComposer plugin. It stopped working. When I open the editor, for a new page or to edit an existing page, it starts loading but the elements don’t show. Heres a screenshot. Ps.: There’s code there, obviously.
