Hello-
I just recently purchased and installed Tower and I’m trying to make a portfolio using the Masonry Portfolio demo you’ve provided. I followed the instructions for importing the settings and content, but the resulting website doesn’t look correct. The boxes aren’t arranged correctly, the text in one of the boxes gets cut off, and there is a black line next to the menu.
I had another theme I was having issues with and they advised me to increase the upload and PHP memory limits. I’ve done this with the help of Bluehost and they said that isn’t what the issue is, but they couldn’t look deeper into the problem without me paying someone that specializes in PHP. I don’t know if that is related but I figured it was worth mentioning.
Here is a link to the site as it currently stands so you can visualize what I’m talking about. I can give you administrative information to take a closer look if you let me know how to do this securely.
https://www.deanbottino.com/wordpress/I would really appreciate any help you can give me with this. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the theme or my server, but no one has seemed to be able to figure out what the problem is. Bluehost is a very widely used hosting service so I’m confused as to why this has been an issue.

Hello,
I see the site is almost identical to the demo, except for a few things.
-The right border in menu was due to the transparent header. I set it OFF in General Options > Header Options > Make Transparency Header. the border is gone now.-The logo, i imported and set up the demo logo. This is normally not an issue since every site would have it’s own licensed logo.
-To the home page was missing a “Custom Heading” element of Visual Composer. I added it and set the settings of the demo.
This is your site’s home page now: screenshot. and this is the online demo’s: screenshot.Let us know if you need further help.
Best regards!

Thank you for making the changes, but the boxes are still not aligned correctly and the text in one of the boxes at the bottom is still getting cut off. It’s doing that in the screenshot you provided as well. Please let me know how to fix this.
I’m not quite sure how to control how the images are arranged in the masonry gallery. The images seem to be cropped from larger source images, but I can’t figure out how to control how they’re cropped and how they’re arranged.
I would like to design something like the image attached. The black boxes would just be blank with the text in them (they would bring the user to different sections of the site), and the white boxes would be images that take the user directly to a particular post.
I’m sorry for having so many questions, but I’m new to this and couldn’t figure out how to do it through the documentation.

Hello,
This demo uses the masonry portfolio style with overlay. This means it is the default style for the pictures to be messy. The images ordering is based on the time of the portfolio item creation. To change the order to your wish, is not possible from wordpress settings. But you can use a plugin for it. We recommend Custom Post Order.
The text is set over the overlay of the image. This is determined by the image height. If the text will over pass the overlay height then the rest of the text will not show up.
This is one of the styles of the portfolio. If you do not want it like this, then you can use one of the other portfolio styles. Go to the Recent Portfolio Settings (screenshot) and choose other settings that work best for you.I understand what you want to achieve but this is custom editing that requires time and it is not included in support service.
Please read more regarding it here.PS: If you leave the portfolio item with out a featured image (the ones you want only text), they will not show correctly in the grid. I suggest you add a blank image to keep the layout correct and text showing.
Best regards!
