How to change the language

      Hello,

I need to change some parts to german and I don’t get how to change things like the ‘read more’ button or ‘leave reply’. I read in other topics about Poedit and changed the files en.po and en.mo at wp-content/themes/specular/lang/, but I can’t see anything changing. What am I doing wrong? Or do I have to activate those files in WordPress somehow? Sorry for being so clueless, that’s the first time I have to change language parts.

      Best regards!

      Hello,

Did you select the other language in the Settings > General > Site Language? Please see screenshot.

I can suggest you watch this video tutorial to help you with the basics of translating your site using the .PO/.MO files.

      Best regards!

      Hello,

sorry for the late reply. The wordpress settings are set to german. The ‘read more’ button still isn’t translated. I installed the Loco Translator and translated even the setting in the visual composer. Still no change. What can I do to fix this? You said translate the po/mo files which I also did, but it didn’t help.

      Best regards!

      Hello,

Please fill in the necessary information on your extra information fields of your profile data. So we can give it a closer look.
In what page do you have the “Read more” string?

Read this article for more information.

      Best regards!

      Hello,

I checked your site and apparently it is not using the default lang files in specular/lang folder. Loco translator plugin is a third party plugin so we can not give support on it. But i have edited out the string in file includes/view/blog/loop-timeline.php. The change is already reflected in your blog page. Change it if the translation is not correct (sorry not a dutch speaker here).
Let us know if we can help with anything else.

      Best regards!
