I have built a website with the Tower theme. I used several plugins to optimize my website and this has been very successful in most ways. The Desktop score is now 93, and the only “problem” listed is Eliminate render-blocking Javascript for one file that’s been minimized and combined. Not going to worry about that.
However, the Mobile score is 67. In addition to the Elimiate render-blocking Javascript error, I’m still getting errors to Minify Javascript, CSS and HTML — even though I’m using plugins for this and the code appears to be minimized on the Desktop side.
Are there separate files for the responsive part of the theme that I need to address? Can you give me some insight on this?
Development site is here: https://catenacreations.net
Thank you for your help!
Hello,
In the mobile version the only difference is the css. The site does not have additional or less files to execute. It only gets the css code that corresponds to that screen dimension.
Any method you are using to minify js and html will work the same for both layouts (desktop & mobile).
Best regards!
Thank you! (BTW, I did purchase the Tower theme. Just re-registered under that name but haven’t received the password email yet.)
Can you please tell me where those css files are so I can create a child theme and replace them with Google’s files? Anything to feed the Google Monster and make it happy!
Thanks!
