Please make sure you are adding the right google map url. It should be like this, example: https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d24178.238728280507!2d-74.03642767030202!3d40.755869437983435!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x89c2576b66c69541%3A0x8559a90ad721149!2s90+Charles+St!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sus!4v1401374000847 (screenshot). When copying the google maps url, you may have copied the <iframe> tag too. That can cause for the dashboard to show instead of the map.
