Just creating a new post instead of adding to my other post on an unrelated matter in case others come across this.
The author meta link on single posts displays “by admin” by default and links to domain.com/author (which is not a correct page). It should show author name and link to their archive. I looked around the Blog options and saw an option to enable/disable “single blog author info”. When this option is enabled, the author meta name and link is correct, but it pushes all the post sidebar widgets underneath the content.

Okay so you “fixed” it. But what does that option actually do? Is it broken? I would like to display author info on the blog post (eg. bio).

Hello,
I found the issue. It’s caused by empty User Description. Please add a user description for the author on WordPress Dashboard -> Users Profiles
Will be fixed on next update for empty descriptions too.
