empty hamburger menu

  Hello! The hamburger menu on the right side of my wordpress site opens up as an empty black frame.
  
  What can be done to correct this?

  That is the extra side navigation. To add content to it, go to Appearances > Widgets, and add widgets into the “Extra Side Navigation” (screenshot).
