What version of theme are you using? Do you have any third party plugins installed? Please deactivate all plugins and try again.
The import process is pretty strait-forward. Just go to Specular > Import/Export (Dummy data), click on the demo you want and then on the “Import” button.

Sorry i checked now your profile and i see you have purchased Folie theme. Since this is Specular theme forum, i assumed the issue was regarding this theme.
Do you have any other plugins installed? Please deactivate all of them before importing. If you send us your wp and ftp credentials in a private reply, we can check this up close and fix it.
The wordpress login info is needed in order to install dummy data. Not the ftp.
Please send them to us in a private reply. or add them into your profile data.
