The registration fails because your site is running under HTTPS. Can you please dis-active HTTPS for register this theme?
If you can’t, you can start work without problem, the theme doesn’t have any restrictions without registration.

No, there isn’t. But as previously mentioned, the theme doesn’t have any restrictions without registration. SO you can keep on working with it normally.
