Hi, I’ve been struggling to successfully troubleshoot why the AJAX for a Contact Form 7 isn’t working on my site. Originally thought there was a hiccup with how we’ve set up our child theme or custom page templates (which have quite a lot of custom PHP and JS, using a newly registered widget area/sidebar to place the contact form shortcode)… assumed the scripts weren’t getting enqueued properly…
But… it’s working in my local environment (set up with MAMP on a Mac).
Wondering if you’ve encountered any issues with running Specular on an AWS site — EC2/S3 setup or if Specular requires something specific from the server that MAMP just happens to be providing that the EC2 instance does not?
Theme does not have any issue when installed in AWS. The Contact Form 7 is an external plugin, compatible with theme. But it’s a third party plugin build from other authors.
I suggest you check out their forum for similar cases.
