Please update theme to it’s latest version. It was released two days ago and it’s compatible with the latest WordPress 4.9. Which is also the reason your current Codeless Builder is not working. After that, update Codeless Builder plugin too. Just delete the current folder in wp-content/plugins, go back to the wp dashboard and install it from the Required Plugins list.

Visual Composer is an optional plugin, not required for theme’s normal work. Please always use the included version as it is tested and fully compatible with theme.

The latest Folie theme version is 1.2.2. And the latest Codeless Builder version is 1.2.3.
You can update theme in two ways.
1-Manually: This means you have to go to your Envato account > Downloads. In the list of downloaded themes, find Folie theme and download once again. Here is always stored the latest version of theme!
In wordpress dashboard, deactivate current theme; Delete it’s files; Install new version like you did the first time.
Or if you want to keep the previous version as a backup (if you have made direct changes to it’s files) then update from ftp. Using a ftp account, go to wp-content/themes folder. Find and rename the current theme folder. Import the new updated theme folder. Go back to wordpress dashboard > Themes and activate the new version.

2-Automatic: Using Envato Market plugin. Once registered with your api key, you will be able to see all themes you have purchased. If they have any update available and update theme with just a click.

After updating theme, you can now easily update the Codeless Builder. Just deactivate and then delete the current version(files included). After this, go back to your dashboard and install plugin again from the Required plugins (see message at dashboard).
The version that will install is the included in theme, which is the latest one.

Do you perhaps have the WP Bakery plugin active? Please deactivate it. Please use Codeless Builder to add and edit content.
​This is the main builder based on which theme is developed and all demos as well.

-Please update Codeless Builder too! To get the version included in latest theme package, just delete the current plugin folder in wp-content/plugins and then go back to dashboard. Install and activate CB plugin from the Required plugins.

We are working on making all the necessary edits and update theme and Codeless Builder plugin to be compatible with all the changes. But can happen that new issues arise that we did not encounter.
