Hi, when I change the custom settings, particularly the homepage. It will show it in the custom settings that it is working, but when I select publish it defaults back to original page. Why won’t it change the new homepage? Thanks, Angie

Hello,
The saving issue are mostly server related. Please perform a database optimization first. You may need to optimize tables as one of them may have been corrupted.
Do you have any third party plugin installed? Do you have any caching enable in your server?
Have you tried:
– Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare.
– deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
– manually resetting the plugins folder by FTP/ SFTP (no Dashboard access required). Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
Can you send us some valid wp credentials in a private reply? So we can give it a closer look?Let us know.
Best regards!

Hello,
There is nothing wrong with your site. I assume you were trying to change the home page from Settings > Reading? Theme options take priority of wordpress default options, so the home page as well needs to be set/changed from theme options. I changed it without any issue here: General Options > Select Special Pages > Select Frontpage.
See screenshot of the option: https://postimg.org/image/npqz4pj1n/Let me know if you need further help.
Best regards!
