Having an issue with the Left Navigation. On the top level pages, the navigation works fine and the menu items are listed correctly. But when you click down to a 2nd or 3rd level page, the top menu item on the list changes from “About Us” (which it should be) to the name of the current page’s parent.

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply. We have been on new year’s holiday.
That is the right way f showing page hierarchy in wordpress. In the menu you can add what ever page you want and arrange them in the order you like. But a page’s parent will not change automatically into the parent set in the menu. If you want to changes that, then set the page as child of the page you have in the menu.I hope i understood you correctly. Please let me know if this is not what you asked for.
Best regards and may you have a great year ahead!

Sorry, no this is not what I mean. I understand how page parents work. Please see the attached screenshots. On the “Students” page, you’ll see that the top item in the gray menu is the About Us page. But when I click down a level to “Student Chapters” the item at the top of the gray menu (not the parent item) changes to “Students”. So now Students shows up twice in the menu, and About Us disappears. (Also, I don’t believe I can control the left nav menu under WordPress menus? It seems to be automated?)
