Hi, I purchased for my costumer the theme again so we will be able to update his theme. But I can’t seem to upgrade his theme at all. It’s crazy – I stuck with a purchased license and nothing I can do with it… my version says 2.6.1. I can’t seem to find what is the latest version I downloaded (the one I bought).
Further more – Is there a way to import all the website pages that are built on website, and reinstall theme with the upgraded theme version? (If we are able to install it).
To update theme you do not need to worry this much. Only download the latest version from Envato > Downloads. Then in your current site, go to wp-content/themes folder. Access it via ftp or cpanel. There you will find theme folder. Rename it (example: specular_old) and then upload the unzipped files of the latest version.
After import is done,go to your wordpress dashboard > Themes. You will see both versions installed. Activate the new version.
That’s it!
Now you also have a copy of the old theme files in case you had made direct changes to them.
