I need to do a reinstall of my theme. Can I just override the installed theme or do I need to uninstall the theme in there first. And how do I do the uninstall if that’s needed.
You uninstall a theme by removing it and all it’s files from the Appearance > Themes. But make sure it is not active. If it is, deactivate theme by simply activating another theme. Then proceed with the deletion of theme and files.
Or you can do it directly from wp-content/themes. Access the directory using a ftp account. When there, delete theme folder.
After old copy is deleted, you can proceed in uploading the new version of theme. Activate it from the dashboard as normal.
