I just tested both front-end and back-end. I added a row and the shop tabbed element in it. Also i edited the text under the title. All changes are saved well. Check it here: https://juliaw.growfio.com/portfolio-grid/
I checked again. The preview, aka “Live page” does open in new tab (screenshot). I suggest you clear cache and hard refresh page. Or deactivate any add-ons you may have installed in your browser.
The “Customize Posts” plugin should not cause any problem. It’s tested and works well with theme. Perhaps one of your third party plugins could be conflicting with it. Try disbling them all and see.
-The headers available are composed of max 3 sections. Top row / middle/main row and bottom row. You can only move the elements around these rows and the sections (columns) they have. See screenshot: https://postimg.cc/SjTZ09XY
