I was able to pull the backup thankfully, but now the sidebar isn’t showing the indented categories, even though I’ve touched nothing from the categories setup an hour ago. What’s going on?
Have you used first the original theme and after installed the child theme ? The transition from the original to the child will cause the loose of the changes.
Also i recommend you to deactivate any third party plugin that can cause this issue.
I have seen that you have made lot of work so i think now everything is ok.
I suggest you use the “Customize Page & Options” button in back-end (screenshot). It’s way faster.
Please make sure to have enough memory allocated to your wordpress installation. Try increasing theme’s server requirements to improve the site’s speed.
