Home page four item carousel issue

  I just bought this theme because I liked the vertical banner “Portfolio Carousel Fullscreen” demo look. But instead of the carousel featuring portfolio pages can it instead be standard pages?

  Or maybe if there is a way to only show one category of portfolio pages on the home page carousel, that would also work. Is there a way to do that?
