When trying to install the Folio Portfolio theme it stalls when importing the dummy content. I’ve seen this problem has been raised by quite a few on the forum but can’t see how to resolve.Please could you help.

Hello,
First of, please make sure to have the latest version of theme installed. Then you need to have all minimal server requirements (see here), make sure to not have WordPress Importer installed.
If you still can not import, send us some valid wp credentials in a private reply. So we can login and check.

I’m running the latest version of WordPress and hosting runs MySQL 5.6 &
php 7.2. I do not have the WordPress Importer installed so all the requirements should be met. Will provide my wp credentials in private but would rather like to know what the issue was too.Thanks,

Thanks, but a couple of problems:
1. I’d asked for the Folie Portfolio theme to be installed and a different one is in place.
2. The customize menu displays incorrectly and doesn’t work..
Getting to the point that I may need to request a refund which is disappointing because I love the theme appearance.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I must have read wrong the demo you wanted. This is not an issue because you can import every demo available, every time you want to change it.There are two ways to open Customizer:
1-Open a page in Pages > Edit, and click on Codeless Builder to open it in customizer: https://ibb.co/j3F9Lnx

The correct theme is now installed however the customiser still does not work. I followed you instructions both 1 and 2 and neither works.
Very frustrating….

I am accessing it as per the videos but in Safari, my preferred browser, with which it doesn’t appear to be compatible.
I have since tried it in Chrome and it does indeed work.
Is the bug with Folie on Safari being looked at?
