This time I noticed that all the individual files in the ZIP are saved with datestamp 21th of march 2019. So it isn’t possible anymore to find the changed files compared to the 2.6.4 ones. It’s the first time and I don’t know why; it makes the customization process extremely complex.
Is it possible to send a ZIP file (as usual) with original last saved dates, so a compare of the two versions is possible?
Btw: a ‘automatic’ theme update tp v3.0 completely failed..!! So I went back to v2.6.4.
There have been many major changes in the last theme update. It’s strongly advised to perform a full update.
What problem did you have with the update? Can you give some more details? You can upload the new version in your wp-content/themes folder (use a ftp account) and activate it. While still keeping the old version as a backup. Just make sure to rename the old version folder first. As there can not be two folders with the same name.
Another question. The v3.0 ZIP file contains (only) 685 files in 84 folders. Older version updates eg. v2.6.4 has 1.242 files in 199 folders.
Is that correct?
