Hi. I need to modify some files from parent theme Specular, namely:
/specular/includes/core/codeless_metaboxes.php
/specular/includes/types/codeless_staff_type.php
/specular/vc_templates/staff.php
It’s a common practice to copy parent theme files to child folder (in the same folder structure), so that when updating parent theme, the edits will not be overwritten.
I copied the 3 files above to my child theme folder and made some edits, but the edits have no effect (i.e. parent theme files take precedence).
