Portfolio all in One

  Hello,
  
  I’m writing to you because there’s something not very logical going on in my portfolio: my site apparently has two pages because it can’t contain everything in one.
  
  Only, the filters only work per page! That is to say, if I filter “video” on page 1, it will only show me the videos from “page 1” and to find the other videos on page 2, I have to do the same procedure starting from page 2! It’s far too complicated for the visitor. :)
  
  No matter how long I search, I can’t figure out how to get everything done on one page or at least fix this problem.

  You can change the pagination method to “Load more” or “Infinite”. Find it in portfolio element options > Pagination. See screenshot: https://ibb.co/NZVzrg0

  But now that I have just 1 page, all the elements that were on the page 2 a no more available. I didn’t see any “page 2 group” or something like that. I can’t really find out what’s the problem… could you maybe help be?

  From the screenshots i can only see a single portfolio item that is assigned to a category and that is showing in the portfolio when that category is selected. I can’t understand the problem.
  Can you please post some wp credentials in your profile? So i can check this closely.

  I just put the information in my profile.
  
  What you’ll se is that there’re more than just 1 “video” content and only one is on the website since I changed the page option.
  
  Btw, I was also wondering:
  – how you put a “back” button once we open a work. Is that possible on Folie? Didn’t find it on FolieDocs! :) That would be great.
  – is that possible to reorder manually the portfolio items in the admin page? In place of putting extra numbers that will define the order.
  
  I’m kinda new on Folie and WP so I’m asking a lot of questions! hahah

  Hello,
  
  You have an old theme version. Please download the latest version (2.5.4) from your Envato account > Downloads. Update theme and included plugins.
  Let us know if you still have any problem with portfolio.
  
  -Do you mean “back to homepage” button, for when you are in a single portfolio item page? Sorry this is not a feature found in theme. You can add a custom button to each portfolio item and link it to home page.
  
  -By wordpress default is not possible to re-order portfolio items to your wish. But there is a plugin that does the job. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/

  I’m really not familiar with the manual update of the theme so I was trying to find out more information. On this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8oNqNB7j_A), à 6:00 we see that the guy is deleting the theme to reupload the theme. That look pretty clear indeed.
  
  I also checked on folie docs
  
  The question is, will I take the risk to delete everything I’ve made on this specific theme? Do I need to “save” this actual structure somewhere before doing this? Then import the parent doc. “folie.zip”?
  
  On Foliedocs it’s written:
  “<strong style=”box-sizing: border-box; color: #000000; font-family: Roboto, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; letter-spacing: -0.28px;”>Step 1<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Roboto, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; letter-spacing: -0.28px;”> – Deactivate the current Folie theme in the “Appearance > Themes” section by simply activating a different theme. Once you activate a different theme, you can delete the Folie theme. Your data is saved in the database so the content will not be lost! ”
  –> I just need a confirmation while seeing the structure of my website, if I can do that without any bad surprise. :)</span>
  I also checked the actual version of my codeless tool:
  “Stay Updated!
  Now you are ready to start install templates and build your next website!
  Your current theme version: You have the latest version installed”
  So that’s just the main theme of WP but not Folie, is that right?
  
  Unfortunately, I can’t afford to pay a 50$ service for the special support.. so that’s why I’m trying to do my best finding out how to do that! :)

  First of all, please check theme’s tutorials in youtube: https://youtu.be/JW3DvWEsm3M It will get you more familiar with it.
  
  -That is a way of updating, but there are 2 other ways as well.
  1-Use the Envato Market plugin to update automatically. See a tutorial here:
  https://www.wpexplorer.com/envato-market-plugin-guide/
  
  2-Use a ftp account to go to wp-content/themes folder in your wordpress installation in the server. Rename the current theme folder(if you want to save a backup of old files). Then upload the latest theme files(screenshot).
  In wordpress dashboard, you will see both themes. To check the version of a theme go to details(screenshot).

  But I wanted to make the update of the plugin but as it was already written before on my WP page, I already have the last update so now I’m pretty sure :P

  Yes, theme is updated and it’s the latest version. There were two plugins that needed updating (screenshot). I already updated them.

  But I can see that there’s still the same situation, not all of my articles are there since the page 2 was deactivated…
  
  For example “POSTERS COLLECTION I” is not on the website even in my back office it’s clearly “published” and “visible”. That’s really strange and I don’t know what to do…
  
  I hope we could resolve that last point before tomorrow!

  There is nothing wrong with your site. You just had selected the pagination option “none”. This works just like normal pagination(first page visible) just pagination is hidden.
  To display all items in one page, select “Infinite scroll” or “Load more” as instructed in older replies. I selected the first and here is the portfolio you mention, displayed:
