admin author in blog

  Hi,
  
  I have blog post in my site and I have set the author as the name. Still in blog post the author is “admin”. I tried the fix from here:
  
  https://support.codeless.co/?action=bbp-search-request&bbp_search=blog+admin
  
  but it does not help.

  What version of theme do you have? This has been fixed a wile ago. However, please refer to the fix in this ticket: https://support.codeless.co/?topic=author-showing-as-admin

  I have version 2.5.4 and child is version 1.0.1
  
  I added the code as mentioned in the another ticket and now it crashes my page and I get the note that the site has technical issues…

  Please update theme and all it’s included plugins first. The latest version has a lot of major changes made.
  
  I think you made some mistake in adding the changes of the snipped code, for the errors to show.

  5.2.4 is the latest version which I can download from Themeforest.
  
  Also I can’t install Envato market -plugin, it says :
  
  Something went wrong with the plugin API.

  Thanks, but this is not a solution. There need to be author who is not “admin”.

  In that case you can create another user on WordPress and add to it an Editor user role.

  I have a user “Mari” which is an author in these blog posts.
  
  Still, in blog post it shows that author is “admin”.
  
  As mentioned earlier in this same ticket, I tried to fix the bug in your code but it wouldn’t work.
  
  Also, as mentioned earlier, this bug should be fixed by you but I can’t update my theme to the latest version. 5.2.4. is the latest version that I can download from theme forest and I can’t install envato market plugin, because it says “Something went wrong with the plugin API.”
