Missing copyright and social media icons 3.1

  Hello,
  
  I recently updated our site to Specular 3.1.
  
  After the update, I noticed our copyright information is now missing and so are the social media icons that appeared in the footer area as well.
  
  I tried removing 3.1 and reloading it all over again as well as updating the plugins a second time.
  
  The copyright script and social media links still do not appear although they are turned on in the footer options.
  
  It almost seems like a bug of some sort.
  
  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hello,
  
  Usually after a big update, some widgets are displaced to the “Inactive widgets” area in Appearance > Widgets. If the copyright area does not have any widget in it, it will not show up even if it’s set ON in the settings. So, please go to your widgets first and make sure to have add them in footer/copyright.

  Hi Mirela,
  
  Thank you for your help. I did discover putting a widget in the footer made the copyright text appear. I would have thought the copyright text would have appeared on it’s own just having text in it.
