I created my website (WordPress) on my computer (local host MAMP) and decided to put it on-line while finished.
I exported the website and the database (via FileZilla). A blank page was appearing on the website but I solved the problem by deleting the plugin “revslider”. Now, I have the name of my website written on the top left corner and “You are here : home” written on the top right corner of the page. There is nothing else. Do you have an idea of what the problem can be ? I wonder why the template does not appear on-line (the database is ok).
I tried a lot of solutions and I found out what was the problem : the export of the database was incomplete so I did it again, uncompressed.
I can now have the access to WordPress on-line but there are lots of problems :
– some medias are not properly transferred
– my custom icons doesn’t appear
– accented letters doesn’t work
Moreover, when I want to modify a page, the visual composer indicates that the page is empty (I don’t see any rawbar with my content even if it’s appearing on-line)
How can I make them appear in the visual composer ?
Hi, I’m finally done. I simply started from scratch on the on-line site (I copied contents and texts one by one and uploaded my medias again on each page).
I am glad to know everything is ok now. We would suggest you to use “WP Imigrate DB” plugin for later transfers. It is a easy and efficient way to export/import your site without any issues like these you experienced.
