Hi there.
I’ve activated the Picante Tasty theme. On the front page desktop version, there is no padding between the “About me” media element and the “featured posts” element, but when in responsive mode (mobile device) there is a huge gap between these elements.
How can this be fixed?
PS: I do not know coding. Thanks

Hello,
Can you please paste a link to your site? So we can check.
Best regards!

At the moment the site crashed. Possibly due to Woocommerce. as it says I have old templates installed. I downloaded the picante theme again on friday with the hopes it had updates but it still gives me the same message again.

Hello,
The included woocommerce theme files are tested and have no issue with theme. I asure you they will not crash your site.
Do you have any third-party plugins installed? Please rename their folders in wp-content/plugins folder in the server. This will deactivate them and give you access to the dashboard.
From there, try activating plugins one at a time in order to find out which may be the one crashing the site.Let us know.
Best regards! -
Ps: I see the site is online, i opened it from mobile but don’t see any issue. Can you point it out where are you having the responsive issues?
Best regards!

I’m viewing it on various mobiles and it does the same.

Hello,
That column has a great height set up and it’s showing in mobile as well. The rest is ok. The builder seems deactivated now, so i assume you are working on it. Just go to the column containing the space and check it’s settings. If there is any height defined, remove it.
Let us know if you want us to login and fix it.
You may want to install a cache plugin and optimize the images so they load faster.PS: Always keep theme required plugins active!
Best regards!

Thank you for your response. I’m having another issue with the shipping options not showing at Checkout.
I was busy deactivating all plugins and changed themes. In default wordpress theme, woocommerce works perfectly but when I swopped back to the picante theme (even with all the plugins disabled) shipping options are not showing in the cart. You have to manually go to the dropdown menu, click checkout, fill out the details and under “Your order” it says this site is experiencing technical difficulties so it doesn’t allow you to go further.
I’ve added the screenshots to the google drive. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/11s1WsRcjXkcMm2TiRzHIvVlHw4F0QXz0?usp=sharing
Please can you assist?

Hello,
You had set it up to be hidden. See screenshot: https://ibb.co/h21Y9mW
I changed that. Please clear cache and refresh page. Can you please try deactivating the third party plugins? I suspect one of them is conflicting with theme. Let us know when you do so, so we can check again.
Best regards!

Hi there
I’ve disabled all the plugins (and only kept the theme plugins activated) as per your suggestion.
Problems:
1. Cart page shows no checkout button
2. Checkout page shows on a desktop as if it’s on a mobile device.
3. When I get to the checkout page after using the card button in the header, it says, “this site is experiencing technical difficulties”. in the button block and no pay now button.
4. All shipping options were enabled and zones loaded. Still no shipping options are given.
My client is losing money because this site isnt working properly and it has something to do with the theme because when I swopped to a default theme, everything (including shipping ) was working fine. Please, please, please can this be resolved asap.

Hello,
This is strange. As you can see in our demo, there isn’t any issue with shipping: https://codeless.co/picante/default/?page_id=464
I have forwarded your ticket to theme developer for a more professional review.Best regards!

Thank you for the response. I’ve had to switch to another theme as the client is livid that this is taking so long to resolve.
How can I request a refund on this theme?
Thanks
-
Hello,
Since on our side, and as you can see yourself online, this issue does not happen to theme originally. This means something else in your installation is causing it. We are willing to keep debugging until the reason is found.
Sorry but you can only require refund if the theme has issues itself (not caused by anything related to your installation particularly) this means that this issue will need to be present in other installations (clients) not just you. And if support from us is denied to help you thru it. Which also is not the case as we are continuously providing support and will keep on until this ticket is resolved.
Best regards!

With respect, your debugging method is to keep telling me to switch off the plugins. Which I’ve done several times before even opening this ticket. The very first issue of the empty space between elements in responsive mode only wasn’t resolved.
I bought this theme for the woocommerce functionality and it’s not working. My client has lost 5 days of revenue now. I’ve had 2 web developers look into this and they too cannot find the issue. I’m frustrated and furious as I’m way behind schedule. Not to mention that the boxed blog demo didn’t load with this theme installation and I had to wait more than 3 days before I got any response.
Good luck debugging the theme going forward. I need to move on now.
Thank you for your assistance
