I am not sure, if there is a different way of doing this, but I basically want to implement the portfolio list functionality, but then, instead of having the click on the portfolio item link to a custom page, I would like to link it to an external link.
Is there any way to do this? Or even using a different way/option? I like the way that the portfolio items are displayed, etc., I would just need a different link.
Looking through the code, I do see that it basically gets the permalink from the function “codeless_portfolio_item_permalink”. In this, the permalink is returned, if $custom_link is not set (from codeless_get_meta…).
Is there a way that I could set the info to a custom link for a specific portfolio item without having to change the actual php files?
Or, if I can’t do that – can I do that by changing a file that I can overwrite for my child theme to get the “$custom_link” set on a individual portfolio item?
