All customization lost

      Hi!

I updated to the newer version of the theme and all my customization (not the css, the native from the theme that shouldn’t) disappeared. I had to go back to the previous version I had but some features don’t work fine there.

I have everything backed up, what do I have to do/copy to the .zip file from the older version in order not to lose everything again?

      Hi,

Have you made your changes inside child theme or in main theme ? Because if you make changes in main theme and upon updating it gets lost.

      Thanks

I knew the css changes would disappear, but the core changes in the theme, also?? That normally doesn’t happen… So there’s no way to apply them into the new version… that means that my site is dead? No solution at all?

      Hi,

No those default stuff should not be changed at all. As we don’t do this way only fixes or any new features but never deleting old features. Make sure you updated everything properly. Or just try to revert back and try again if it solves the issue for you.

      Thanks

I did all that, and I installed the last update of the theme (the one you posted a couple of days ago) and still breaks all the native customization: colors, typography, kind of header. etc.

Is there a way to manually copy that on to the upgrade file from my backup?
Is a LOT of time if I have to redo all that.

      Thanks.

      Hi,

Kindly note if your changes are inside child theme those will not go away, but if your changes are in custom CSS or JS you can copy those to back from the backup by copying and then pasting in the new website.

Let me know in which mode your changes lost ? In code or in settings only ?

      Thanks

      Hi,

First of all I would recommend you to update your support license. Because WordPress is changing way faster these days compared to past so it is our point to keep our themes updated to work with latest WordPress releases. So, in short it is not a fraudulent approach but only to keep going.

Once your support ticket is renewed let us know ?

      Thanks
