When installing June, I selected the Electronic pre-configuration, but I don’t seem to have gotten all of the parts.
The part I’m working on fixing first is the vertical menu (not the hamburger off-screen menu, the vertical box of menu items on the left).
Please post a response and help me work through this.
Thank you!

HI,
1- Please take a backup of your site and the styling or changes you make in the June theme. After that let me know that can I help you by resetting the site and importing the Electronic demo correctly?
2- The changes you will make in the parent theme will be gone whenever you update the theme. However, if you make changes inside the child theme then you don’t need to worry about those changes. Those changes will not be affected if you update the child theme. Thanks,

I’ve tried re-installing WordPress, then re-installing June with the Electronic sub-theme. Still no luck. I’ve now tried this three times. It’s possibly user-error on my part, but I’ve followed your documentation as best I could (and I’m usually quite experienced with this sort of thing.) I’m pretty sure I did everything right. Installed and activated all of the plugins, etc. But now I’m going to need some of that great customer support I’ve heard about.
I’ve completely removed all versions of June that I had installed, deleted the database and recreated it, re-installed WordPress and copied the June files into the theme directory, but not yet activated or configured it, so that you could go through the process and set it up correctly (and/or find the issue I’m having).
Please do so, and email me when you’re done mucking about. The WordPress admin info is in the private post above. This project should have been much further along than it is due to this Theme issue. I still need to set up a child theme to customize once this is properly installed and set up, so I hope you can help me soon.
Thanks very much!

Well, on first glance the site *looks* MUCH improved. Thank you.
Were there any difficulties or hiccups that might explain my difficulties in setting it up? I’d like to know what I was doing wrong, if possible, so I can avoid this issue in the future. I have a feeling I’ll be using June again in the future.
I am noticing a few issues I’ll need assistance with:
On the horizontal Top menu (Home, About Us, Shop, Pages, Blog), the drop-down sub-menu on Pages is unreachable. It appears when you mouse-over Pages, but disappears before you can select a sub-menu item. I’m guessing there’s a setting to correct this?
UPDATE: I’m finding the above issue in Chrome. In Firefox it works much better. Both browsers are presenting some issues with the Blue Vertical menu loading into the correct position when re-sizing the screen. There is a large gap where it disappears completely (between 910px and 785px). This will likely not be a problem on fixed screen sizes, compared to a resizing browser window, but it’s there and I’d like to fix it.
Which leads me to my need to customize this site — so I’ll need a Child Theme installed. Can you help me with that also? I’m concerned there could be installation issues there also. I want to get beyond the point where installation issues are requiring your attention, so I can get to the stuff I’m good at. :)
Again, thank you VERY much for your assistance. This bodes well for a long-term relationship with you and Codeless.
Matt

Yup. I just tried installing the June Child theme myself and nearly broke what you did to fix the parent theme. I’ve since deleted the Child and re-activated some plugins that disappeared. This seems to have undone what I did.
This leads me to believe I should wait for you to install the Child Theme.
(Though I do have a lot of concern that not being able to install these themes myself will present big problems in the future.)
Thanks again for all your help!

Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I’ve passed your issue to the dev team. They’ll work on this bug and solve this bug.
If you want to do CSS customization then please try t add CSS code inside:
wp-admin > Appearance > Customize > General > Custom Codes > Custom CSS.Thanks for your patience.

Customizing the existing template will only get overwritten later when you update this template for future versions of WordPress.
I know you know this. So I hope you’ll have good news for me soon.
Sincerely,
Matt

Checking in again. I’m really disappointed at this point. Please support your product and get me to a point where I can move forward. What my client paid for is not fully functional. This reflects badly upon me, as well as you; and I really don’t like my clients thinking badly of me.
ThemeForest is usually such a solid place to get themes. I’ve been more than reasonable. Please resolve this. TODAY.

Hi,
I already highlighted the issue and we will get back to you asap.
However I will run another test and let you know back within 24 hours. -

I realize it’s the weekend, so I’m not expecting to hear from you today, but I wanted to leave a message letting you know that if I don’t hear from you on Monday by end of business, that I’ll be requesting a full refund.
It has now been 3 weeks and 5 days since I started this support thread.
Your developers need to take this issue seriously. I have not come this far with you to quit now. But you’re leaving me little choice.
Most people can’t wait WEEKS to get their website STARTED, let alone finished. They’ll want to know about this before they purchase your technical support. This project has only been allowed to lag behind this long because I have others that required my attention also. But this has gotten ridiculous.
This is my final post on this matter. Reply on Monday 8/16/2021, or provide a refund and expect negative reviews on June and Codeless tech support.

I see there’s an update today. Will this fix my issues?

Hi,
Sorry for the delay. Please update the June theme to the latest version 2.1 and then check this with the child theme. Also please take a backup of your site before updating the theme. Thanks,
-

Your June update (2.1) installed alright — BUT the update does not include the updated version (6.5.6) of Revolution Slider. Being unable to update it is preventing me from activating it.
I’ve already paid for June once, and have yet to get it working properly, so I’m not too keen on paying ThemePunch for an update to Revolution directly.
Installing the included June-Child.zip Child Theme still breaks the site. No help from this update there. Thought you’d like to know.
I was sincerely hoping this update would solve your theme’s problems, but it’s only made things worse. So I’ve definitely had enough.
I’ll be recommending my client get a refund for June, and I’ll be avoiding any themes by Codeless for future clients as well.
- This reply was modified 3 years, 3 months ago by silverthread. Reason: Nope. Your JUNE update is no good. Does not solve my Child Theme problems. I'm giving up on June and Codeless. I'll be recommending my client ask for a refund

Dear Sir,
No worries, i will provide latest copy of Revlution Slider – Asap! Even I dont mind to update on your website.About direct Update from ThemePunch: This is not possible, Theme Author is responsible to provide an updated plug-in copy. You can google or see Themeforest Forum. This is how its work.
Let me see investigate again why it is breaking the website.
Thanks

You would do well to find out why your product isn’t working, but I’m afraid that for MY project, even if you fix it, I can’t imagine it won’t be too little too late. This issue has been ongoing for a month!
That’s just not good enough for me to want to stick around. I’m sure it’s likely that you’re a very capable support technician, but you and/or your developers are understaffed to address support issues quickly and/or seriously enough to restore my confidence in Codeless’ products or support. A LOT more urgency on your part would serve you well in the future.
I know I’m just one customer, but if my experience has been anything close to typical, I won’t be the last to leave. Money made, then lost after working to keep it, only hurts your bottom line AND your reputation.

Hi,
Glad to hear from you.
Please check now the child theme is activated on your site and the site layout isn’t breaking at all. Now you can easily switch between parent and child themes without getting any kind of hurdle or issue.
Please take a while and check your site. If you’re still facing any issues then please let me know. I’ll be very glad to help you out.
Also can you please share the details where you’ve added custom CSS code for the header z-index? I’ll check this issue. Thanks,

Hi,
1- Can you please share a screenshot or video of the problem you’re facing with the slider/header?
2- I set values for the options related to the header and footer that were gone when we selected the child theme. Thanks,

Hi,
It’s okay you can customize the child theme freely.
At first, there was a glitch in the parent theme that was removed in the June theme update 2.1.
Now after activating the child theme I selected the default values (that were selected when we import the theme). Like header style, logo, Menu, etc.If you face any problem Please let me know, I’ll help you out.
Thanks for your patience.
