How did you configure the “Featured Podcast” component that’s on the default demo?:

I managed to do something on my part that caused a broken image on the component and I’m having trouble figuring out how to fix it. I understand that in the demo version the image that shows up is the thumbnail of the background image of “Finding Moments Of Joy In A Challenging Year” but in my implementation of the theme, I don’t have a background image. I believe there was a placeholder image there instead, but in an attempt to change it I caused a broken image problem that I now can’t fix.
Cheers,

Hi,
In the demo, we’ve used the Elementor widget “Featured Podcast” and included the only podcast that we wanna display. If you have the demo page available on your site you can copy/paste the widget from there to your desired page/post.Thanks,

Can that widget be modified? I was able to fix my broken image problem by restoring my site from backup but it would have been more helpful if I could have gone into the code and fix the problem that way.

Hi,
Modifying a widget directly through code isn’t recommended. It may break widget functionality. However, if you still wanna modify the “Featured Podcast” widget then below is the file path.
wp-content > cowidgets-elementor-addons > inc > widgets-manager > widgets > content > partials > podcast > featured.phpP.S: We don’t carry any responsibility if something bad happens with the widget. We recommend you keep the record of changes and also keep a backup of original files before making changes to them.
Thanks,

Thanks, my intention isn’t to change anything, it’s more to understand why something happened or didn’t happen. In this particular case, it was an image not displaying because it wasn’t available. It somehow got deleted and restoring just the image didn’t help.
So far the lesson I’m learning with this theme is to always make a backup in case something goes wrong. That’s not a problem for my live site but it is for the local version of my site where I make all my major customization changes.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi,
Glad to hear that you’ve found and resolved the issue. We always recommend, keeping a backup of the site before making significant changes to it i.e. Upgrading/Downgrading the WordPress/Theme/Theme-required plugins version, etc. It’s helpful to get things back to the original if something bad happens. For non-significant changes, you don’t always need the backup.
Thanks,
